Senior Colourist Angela Cerasi set the look for season 8 of the series by grading the first two episodes for production company Endemol Shine Australia.  Peachy worked closely with ESA Senior Post Production Supervisor John Tsakonas and Post Production Supervisor Antonia Vlahovic who briefed Angela on their vision for the colour grade.  They also provided review notes on the WIPs that Angela sent through.

In Beauty and the Geek,  stunning girls and genius guys live together and team up as they compete in hilarious and heart-warming challenges to test their intellect and social skills.  Sophie Monk hosted season 8 of this series.  In this article on Nine Now Sophie Monk said this of the series:

“The best thing about this show is how honest and vulnerable they all are and just themselves. It’s such a lovely environment to be in because it’s so positive.

I love hosting Beauty and the Geek. I get to dress up for dress up parties. When do you get to do that as an adult for work? And get paid, that’s pretty cool. I’m not going to lie.

Sometimes I dress up and they haven’t even asked me. I’m like, ‘What’s the theme tonight guys? I’m going in character.”

Angela loved the grading bright, saturated 70s costumes in the first episode and the contrast of the dark “interrogation” scenes where Sophie Monk is dressed in army fatigues and sunglasses – scenes where her aim is find out more about the contestants including their hobbies and lives outside of the show.

Angela Cerasi and the Peachy team also did the colour grading on some MasterChef Australia season 14 episodes for Endemol Shine Australia – you can check out the trailer and some stills here.
