Brisbane Colourist Angela Cerasi graded this two-part series delving deep into the true story of Lindy Chamberlain and the death of her daughter.  Post production was completed by The Post Lounge, working closely with series director Mark Joffe.  The production company was Easy Tiger Productions and Empress Road Productions.

Lindy Chamberlain’s story has figured in Australia’s collective conscious since 1980, when a wild dog took her defenseless baby in a random horrific attack. But it quickly became much more than that. The intrigue of the mostly unknown and untamed outback, of parents – particularly mothers – not behaving to conventional expectations; ruthless media, self-serving politicians and cowboy police, and the “trial of the century” all combine to make this a universal story that still resonates today.

Although the story of the disappearance of Azaria Chamberlain and the subsequent trials of her mother, Lindy, have been extensively covered in books, another TV mini series, a play, a movie and an opera – as well as exhaustive news and current affairs reports – the true full story has never really been covered – until now.

Lindy Chamberlain: The True Story, was released on the the 40th anniversary of the baby girl’s death.   It sheds new light on the tragedy. The thoughtfully curated series provides personal accounts from the Chamberlain family as well as interviews with an array of people – witnesses, journalists, authors, lawyers – as it details what former attorney-general Gareth Evans calls “one of the great miscarriages of justice in Australian history”.

The colour grade including tying together new interview footage and archival footage – giving a naturalistic, cooler grade.
