Angela Cerasi colour graded the 2018 episodic series Destination Flavour: China, for SBS. The show featured Adam Liaw exploring the food and history of the vast and ancient country of China, as well as his own family history. Post production was completed by The Precinct and Angela colour graded on site at their studio in Sydney.
Adam Liaw is a Malaysian-born Australian cook, television presenter and author. He was the winner of the second season of MasterChef Australia, defeating student Callum Hann in the final. Liaw has produced, written and hosted his own cooking programs, including the Destination Flavour series and the talk and cooking show The Cook Up with Adam Liaw on SBS Food.
Series Director Olivia Hoopman won the AACTA Award for Best Direction in Nonfiction Television for this series. Gilbert Farkas was also nominated for an AACTA Award for Best Cinematography in Television for this series. It was a pleasure to colour grade his stunning images as Adam Liaw travels through China. Episode 1 starts off with Adam in Beijing to see the Great Wall of China, ducks, Manchurian-style yum cha, capped off with a visit with his mother at her place in the countryside.
Angela also colour graded Destination Flavour: Japan, created by Adam Liaw and Scott Tompson. Post production by Tracks Post Production, 2013.
